England Tour: Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge

July 16, 2016

Yesterday we signed up for a tour with Premium Tours that took us to Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge. It was really great because we really didn't have to do any planning. We booked the tickets last minute and were super happy with the trip overall. It gave us a chance to see 3 of England's big tourist attractions in one day. We started the day at Windsor Castle which is one of the Queen's residences and while we were there we got to see the changing of the guards. Our next stop was Bath to see the Roman Baths. The whole town was really cute! We went to the Roman Baths first and got to drink a cup of "Bath water"  which used to be prescribed to cure various ailments because it is supposed to have health benefits. Then we wandered around the town and had some gelato. After Bath, we went to Stonehenge which was incredible. It is so old and mysterious because no one really knows for sure what its true purpose was or how it got there so it was a really cool thing to see. The country side that we drove through was also really pretty. We didn't get to spend a ton of time at each place but it was sufficient and pretty amazing that we managed to fit so much into one day.

There was a really pretty field of poppies near Stonehenge. The countryside is beautiful.
