I have been obsessing over the new Lilly Pulitzer prints and "Red Right Return" is by far my favorite. I love the little boats and the pink and blue! This is my go-to summer outfit: a plain t-shirt with a fun pair of Lilly shorts, cute and dressy enough if it needs to be, but still casual.

Shorts: Lilly Pulitzer 5" Callahan Short
Shoes: Jack Rogers
Jewelry: Kendra Scott Elisa Necklace
With Memorial Day officially over and the weather warming up, it finally feels like summer! I put together a list of summer must-haves.
1. A super cute swim suit. This one is my favorite AND its on sale.
2. Jean shorts. One of the most important summer staples.
3. Tory Burch Millers. I seriously wear these everyday, they're cute and classic and so easy to just slip on.
4. Sunglasses. A new pair of ray-bans are on my wish-list this year!
5. Cute top that can go from day to night, and be dressed up or down. Versatility is key.
6. Tan crossbody. I have a tory burch one that I use everyday but I've had my eye on this Rebecca Minkoff one for ages, and it has more room.
7. Baseball hat. Necessary for laying poolside and to hide lazy and bad hair days.
8. White jeans. A great summer staple.
9. Cute summer dress. I love scallops and I LOVE this dress.
10. Tan wedges, to wear with any dress or with white jeans, they go with everything. These ones are on sale!
My makeup brushes have been LONG overdo for a cleaning. Finally yesterday, after researching for ages and trying to find the motivation to take the time to clean my brushes (& let them dry), I cleaned ALL of my makeup brushes. I have quite a few Sigma Brushes and I know a lot of people use the sigma brush Dry'n Shape to help the brushes keep their shape but I didn't want to invest in one just yet so I made my own brush shapers.
After researching the best at-home makeup brush cleaners, I got Dr. Bronners Magic Soap (which apparently has like a ton of uses, but it is available in smaller sizes if you were only going to use it for cleaning makeup brushes). Some people dilute the soap, but you don't have to. We didn't dilute it at all, you just pour a little bit of soap into your hands and swirl the brush around and rinse it.
Brush Shapers:
I bought thick elastic (I chose pink) and hot glued it together. I measured it around each brush to make sure it was the right size to actually hold the brush in the right shape and it worked like a charm! It was seriously so simple.

So its officially graduation party season! I wanted to post a little throwback to my graduation party last year! I had my party with a good friend who was heading off to the University of Arizona (which conveniently has the same school colors as Ole Miss). Her family has some property with a big shed so we had the party there. We had cookies and cupcakes decked out with our school logos, our monograms, and some cute chevron and polka dots. We had an ice cream bar where people could choose their ice cream flavor and toppings. We had lemonade and water, in monogramed water bottles, but we ran out of water bottles so if you're planning a grad party don't underestimate how much water you need!
We hung a frame from poles outside to make a Photo Booth and made cute cutouts as props. We had a table set up with jars for each of us where people could write favorite memories with us, or words of wisdom. Aside from our deserts, we had mini versions of our favorite foods for people to snack on {grilled cheese, mac & cheese, and chicken tenders.} Everything was red and blue including our dresses! Funny side note, we ended up wearing the same dress because we both loved it and it matched so perfectly with all of our decorations! Our party was so much fun and we were so happy with how it turned out so I wanted to share it, I hope I could provide some ideas for people planning graduation parties now!

We had a bunch of pictures and scrapbooks set up with other memories (state dance team medals etc.) on tables too. |

I've been recovering from getting my wisdom teeth out on Monday. Its given me plenty of time to catch up on some TV shows and for online shopping. Nordstrom is having a huge sale right now so I put together a few of my favorite things! I'm probably going to be ordering at least a few of these things!
(Top Left) I've had my eye on these for ages!
I love all the fun colors Rebecca Minkoff comes in.
I have these earrings in two other colors already and they go with everything.
(Top Right) These are perfect for the summer.
(Bottom Left) I love the gold on these!
I love this tote! The scallops are so cute!!
(Bottom Right) I love these for the summer with white jeans!
So today I'm getting my wisdom teeth out (yay....). I've prepared a little Wisdom Teeth Recovery Survival Kit.
The necessities are:
1. Popcicles (my favorite are the Outshine fruit popsicles).
2. Fruit and a blender for smoothies (we have a Vitamix).
3. My favorite tervis (no straw) for cold drinks.
4. An ice pack. I found this cute one at T.J. Maxx.
5. Netflix
I'm ready to spend a few days just relaxing and watching netflix before my summer really gets started.
Any tips for a fast recovery??
So this isn't my normal look but I've been wanting a jumpsuit for a while and when I saw that the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection was going to have some I had to get my hands on one. It combines the fun style of Lilly with the reasonable prices of Target, so I could justify not wearing it as much as some of my other Lilly stuff. I think jumpsuits are so fun because they are easy to just throw on but they are super cute and they can easily be dressed up.

With graduations coming up and that means graduation parties galore, I wanted to post a few graduation gift ideas! These completely range in price, so they could work for any of the grads on your list!
- Passport Case this is good for the high school grad who might get to study abroad or go on trips, or the college grad who hopes of traveling the world! Fits well with the theme of "Oh the Places You'll Go" theme that's common this time of year!
- Cosmetics Case this is good for anyone who will be traveling back and forth between home and school, or traveling at all. A lot of people use cosmetics cases as pencil cases as well so it's always a good gift!
- Monogram Necklace the perfect personalized gift, not too expensive, but shows a lot of thought!
- Laptop Sleeve its perfect for carrying a laptop to class or to the workplace.
- Tervis Tumbler these are fantastic, they're good for hot or cold drinks, and the perfect gift for any grad. They also have them for most major schools so you could find one from whatever school they are going to or get one personalized!
- Tumbler Cup with Straw
- Fit Bit Flex (and Tory Burch Case) my Fit Bit was one of my favorite things in college, because it helped me keep track of how much I was actually walking, and the Tory Burch Cases are just too cute!
- Phone Case if you wanted this to be more personalized, you could get it monogramed or get a case from the school where they're going.
- Silicone Card Holder we were given these in the beginning of the year and because our student IDs were pretty much necessary for everything (it was even our room key) this was so nice because we would stick it on the back of our phones so we always had our IDs handy.
- Wristlet
- Wallet once again, student IDs are so important at school.
- Key Fob you can get these monogramed and they are so cute! Great for keeping keys and wallets and everything else together.
- Pearl Earrings they match with everything, and everyone needs a pair!
- Starbucks Giftcard pretty much a graduation staple, but you can't go wrong with a gift card
- Picture Frame probably the cheapest and easiest gift, you can just get a standard small picture frame with your favorite picture of you and the grad. It's personal, and easy and they can take it with them wherever they end up after graduation!
Its hard to believe that almost a year ago I graduated from high school. At the time college seemed scary and far away, and now I'm already done with my first year. Decorated graduation caps are so popular right now, so I wanted to share mine from last year. I ordered a small iron on monogram that matched my school colors from Etsy. I thought about adding a little bit more to it, but I really wanted it to be simple.
I definitely have a lip balm problem. As far as lip balm goes, I'm always putting it in my pockets and purses and forgetting about it. I wanted to share a few of my favorite types of lip balm. The first one is the Maybelline Baby Lips which can be bought at pretty much any drug store, its better than most standard lip balms that I have tried and it was especially good when it was super dry in the winter. My favorite chapstick for the summer is definitely the Chapstick Lip Shield 365 because it has SPF 50. My absolute favorite lip balm is the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment because it is the most hydrating and it feels fantastic. The EOS Lip Balm Sphere is wonderful and it comes in tons of amazing flavors. I also really love the LUSH Lip Scrub which works wonders, just make sure to put on some lip balm after!
Do you have any favorites? Have you tried any of these? I'd love to hear from you!
Well, I'm officially back home in Illinois and ready for a summer full of relaxation at home. I've had a wonderful year and I am so thankful for all the memories I've made. I've made so many incredible friends and my love for the south has just grown stronger. This year has been the fastest of my life and I can't believe my freshman year is over but, I look foreword to seeing what the rest of college has in store for me. I'm feeling nostalgic and I just wanted to look back on some of my favorite parts of the year:
Running across the football field during Rebel Run |
Pledging Delta Gamma |
Storming the field after beating Alabama in football |
Tailgating in The Grove |
Delta Gamma Fall Formal |
Going to New York on an Honors College trip |
