Book Review: We Were Liars

March 18, 2015

If you're looking for a good book to read while lying on the beach this spring break (or maybe while you're stuck at home in the cold), I recommend We Were Liars by E. Lockhart! It was the best book I've read in a while! I love reading but with my busy schedule I usually don't have that much time to read for fun so I'm very choosy when I actually get the chance to read. The book is a quick and easy read, centering on four privileged teens that get to spend their summers on a private island near Martha's Vineyard, but the book takes on an air of mystery after a tragedy and keeps you guessing until the end. There are some serious plot twists throughout the book that keep you interested. Definitely not a typical YA book and definitely worth the read!

Spring Break in Paradise

March 15, 2015

Lilly Pulitzer Whiting Cut-Out shift dress at Sandos Cancun

This year I spent Spring Break with my Mom in Cancun, which was our fourth mother-daughter spring break trip to Mexico since my freshman year of high school. When I say paradise, I mean it. The water is so blue, it's hard to believe its real and the weather is perfect. We spent one day swimming with dolphins and snorkeling at Xel-Ha outdoor park but we spent the rest of the trip lying by the pool, reading and relaxing. It was exactly what I needed as a de-stressor to get me through the rest of the semester. This year we stayed at the all-inclusive Sandos hotel, and honestly one of my favorite things about all-inclusive is the restaurants. They usually have a variety of nice restaurants for dinner which provides the perfect excuse to dress up! Trust me when I say I will use any excuse I can get to dress up. Plus it was the perfect time for me to debut a few of my new Lilly Pulitzer favorites.

Chi ARC Automatic Rotating Curling Iron

March 8, 2015

Chi ARC Automatic Rotating Curling IronI recently purchased the new Chi ARC Automatic Rotating Curling Iron from Ulta just to try it out and I love it! My hair doesn't hold curl very well and I've always had trouble getting nice loose waves. This curler is perfect for that. It makes more like loose ringlet curls and it didn't take long for them to fall to nice loose waves. It makes for a cute semi-dressy look which is perfect for church or a night out!

It's pretty quick and easy to use. Just use the clamp like a regular curling iron and the rotating wand will do the rest!
