April Showers

Preppy April Essentials Anchors and Pearls

What a gloomy Tuesday it has been! It has looked like rain all day but it hasn't rained at all. The rest of the week looks pretty similar, so I figured I would put together some of my favorite things for rainy spring days!
The most important thing is a rain jacket! The one I chose is a Patagonia "Torrentshell" Girls Jacket (they don't have women's in pink!) which is actually a plus because it's cheaper! Personally I have a monogramed Vineyard Vines "Stow & Go" rain jacket, but when I bought it last year I tried both Patagonia and Vineyard Vines on, and in the end they're really similar. Patagonia is potentially a little bit more popular on campus but you see both pretty frequently. Another really popular rain jacket that I see all the time (always with sorority letters or a monogram) would be a Charles River Pullover which you can get from Marley Lilly.

Another must is Hunter Rainboots. I have the "Packable Tour" rain boots in matte black. They roll up really small and they are perfect for toting back and forth between home and school. They look the same as other Hunters and they are the same price, they're just particularly convenient! I also really like this blue color which HAPPENS to be on sale. It's easy to find good deals on Hunter boots because they go on sale after they update their colors.

I've had my Longchamp bag for about 2 years now and it is perfect for anything and everything. They're perfect for the spring because they are water resistant! They can fit a ton of stuff and you can use it as a tote or a purse depending on the day.

I have a Lilly Umbrella like this one, and I love it. It is a little big to keep in your backpack all the time BUT it's really good size when you open it up and actually use it. Plus it's super cute so maybe it will make rainy days seem a little less dreary!

I LOVE my Fitbit Flex. Now is the perfect time for a Fitbit since its finally getting warm enough to actually go outside! Its also great motivator to be active. The Tory Burch Fitbit covers are so cute and the pink is just darling for spring.

Finally I love this J. Crew top for spring. It's lightweight and super cute, it's pretty casual but you could easily dress it up with cute accessories. It's perfect for layering with a rain jacket during this awkward in-between weather.

April showers bring May flowers and super cute rain gear, so maybe this dreary weather isn't so bad after all!!
