{Yes, Mary Poppins is flying...its casual} |
Since the high school musical ended last year, I've been planning on coming back home to see this years musical, because most of my friends who were involved are younger. Not long ago, the director announced that after 21 years, she is retiring, making this her final show. There was absolutely no way I could miss it. I decided it would be more fun if I made coming back a
surprise so I told my friends that I wasn't coming because I have finals next week, and with an 8 hour drive there's no way I could make it home. I got home on Friday and got to the show super early and went backstage and surprised everyone. Their reactions alone would have made coming home worth it. But their production of
Mary Poppins was phenomenal, probably one of the best the high school has ever done. Several alumni came to see it because it was our directors last show which made it was really special. So many emotions and memories came flooding back and I am so proud to call myself an MSHS drama alum (so weird!!). I had the best weekend and I'm so glad I got to come back.
