Hey y'all! So I got very behind on blog posts during my last month studying abroad because it was honestly so busy but I am back in the states now and finally have a bit of time to get all caught up on my posts from my last month of travels! In the beginning of March I met my parents in Dublin for a long weekend. We went to Trinity College where we saw the famous library and the Book of Kells. We went to the Dublin Castle which is really not very old but still cool. We also went to Christ Church and St. Patrick's Cathedral. We just did self guided tours for everything and it was all pretty self-explanatory. Then we went to the Guinness Brewery which was like 7 stories high and more like a museum about Guinness but cool nonetheless. We also toured Kilmainham Gaol which is the old jail which has major connections to the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland which sparked the beginnings of their revolution. The jail was really cool but it was also really sad because it has a really rough history. It was really rainy and cold when we were there (and I was honestly not prepared) but it was a cool city overall.

If you look closely, you can see holes in the statue's feet. Its pretty powerful. |
